HEARING CARRY-OVER (HCO)
711 or 800-842-9710
Hearing Carry Over (HCO) allows speech-disabled users with hearing to listen to the person they are calling. The HCO user types his/her conversation on TTY for the relay operator to read to the standard telephone user.
HOW DOES HCO WORK?
The HCO user types his words to the relay operator.
The relay operator reads aloud the typed message to the other party.
The other party speaks directly to the HCO user.
OTHER HCO FEATURES
The relay operator specializes in all types of HCO calls, such as HCO to TTY, or HCO to HCO. With this service, you have to specify your call type to the relay operator.
